Statistics

Statistics is the collection of methods for planning experiments, obtaining data, and then organizing, summarizing, analyzing, interpreting, presenting, and drawing conclusions based on the data.

Example

This infographic shows a population a 1,000 people was surveyed on watching a television show. The population was organized into age groups. The conclusion drawn from the data shows that more people between the ages 19-35 watch this show. This is just one example of a statistic.
