Ordinal Level

The Ordinal level of measurement applies to data that can be arranged in order. However, differences between data values either cannot be determined or are meaningless.

- Triola (2011).

In this example, the ordinal level of measurement is the data that is arranged in order by freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior students.   This is just one example of an ordinal level of measurement.
