Exercise: Audience for Introductions and Conclusions

After identifying the parts of a conclusion paragraph in the example, it is your turn to compose a conclusion paragraph. Using the same topic you used for your introduction paragraph earlier in this section, write a suitable conclusion using the parts of a conclusion:

  1. Create meaning for the readers
  2. Inspire readers
  3. Motivate readers
  4. Satisfying ending

Compare it with your introduction paragraph. Does it echo the introduction in the topic, thus bookending your imaginary essay? Highlight the different parts of the paragraph and label them for your reference.
