Breaking Down the Parts of Analysis

Focus on one of the three topics that you narrowed down in the previous activity. Take some time to brainstorm a list of components, perhaps coming up with 8–10 different aspects of your topic. In a paragraph or essay, you want to address at least three, so the more you have the better. Then you can really narrow it down to the strongest components that give the reader the best analysis of your topic.
